Poor Kevin. He meets the girl of his dreams and lets her slip through his fingers. Or at least the doors of Chicago's L train. Once upon a time, there was a working stiff named Kevin Gibbons. Kevin was smart and ambitious, but also very shy. In fact, there was a time when Kevin was so shy it was humiliating.
(Cue flashback music.) Kevin wanted to impress a girl. So he enlisted the help of his best friend, Rod.
Rod had a band. Rod looked an awful lot like Ted from Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventures. Rod convinced Kevin to get onstage...
And sing to the girl. So Kevin took the mic. But stagefright overtook him.

He began to sweat.
